Major Customer Wins, New Product Releases, and Continued Growth in Subscription Service Contribute to Successful Start to 2010 for Provider of Workspace Management Technology
FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts—April 27, 2010—PeopleCube, provider of intelligent workplace, resource, and energy management technology, today announced that it has recently concluded a highly successful business quarter in which it realized significant growth led by the adoption of its alternative workspace and space utilization solutions by several Fortune 500 firms. The company also launched a significant release of its flagship workspace management product, Resource Scheduler, during the quarter and maintained steady growth of its subscription service.
“Given today’s uncertain economic climate, we take special pride in the early success we’ve achieved in 2010,” said John T. Anderson, president and CEO of PeopleCube. “Over the years our customers have increasingly relied on us to provide the services and solutions that help them control costs and maximize productivity. The consistent adoption of our workplace management technology, particularly alternative workspace and real estate management during Q1, is further testament to the solid ROI our solutions provide.”
Sustained Growth Through Enterprise Expansion and Customer Retention
During Q1, PeopleCube signed a number of new enterprise accounts, including several Fortune 500 firms. Some of these customers turned to PeopleCube’s solutions for help in managing their alternative workspace initiatives, while others are implementing PeopleCounter, the industry’s first occupancy detection technology, to measure and monitor actual versus planned space utilization.
Many of the new customers—several of which are subscription service sites—selected PeopleCube’s solutions to replace competing products. Notably, even as PeopleCube increased its market share at its competitors’ expense, the company continued to maintain a customer retention rate of more than 97 percent.
Pushing the Boundaries of Workplace Management through Technological Innovation
During the first quarter of 2010, PeopleCube delivered the most comprehensive release in the history of its flagship workplace management solution, Resource Scheduler. The release featured a number of enhancements, bringing to the market such offerings as Lotus Notes integration, a new mobile interface, tools for visitor and event management, and simplified booking and reservation capabilities using interactive floor plans.
PeopleCube also continued to showcase PeopleCounter, a real estate management solution that provides companies with the ability to track actual versus planned space utilization by automatically capturing the number of people entering and exiting a scheduled space. This ability gives valuable insight into how space is actually being used. It enables organizations to analyze vital real estate occupancy and utilization trends to better manage current and future real estate costs.
“It is our goal to be consistently at the forefront of integrated workplace management technology,” said Anderson. “Most of our product enhancements follow our unique ‘User-Centered Design’ approach, which relies on the direct customer feedback that we receive through our innovative Online Customer Care Center. By listening intently to the needs of our customers and prospects, we are able to deliver the type of solutions and services that address the growing demands of their ever-evolving, complex work environment.”
